What happens in a Consultation?
A homeopathic consultation is a respectful and confidential meeting between homeopath and patient. As a homeopath, I ask each of my patients to be as frank and as honest as possible. As my patient, you will be listened to. You will have the time that you need in a safe, calm atmosphere to discuss your symptoms and express your concerns.
On your first visit, you might be with me for about 1½ hours. Although this may sound like a long time it is my experience that time passes quickly and very often patients themselves find the consultation therapeutic. This is where healing can begin.
As a homeopath, I am there to listen to you, analyse your case and then to prescribe a remedy.
Following your consultation, I will do some analysis work on your case and select your individual remedy. This will be posted to you together with clear instructions on how to take it.
How long does treatment take?
This all depends on your reasons for seeing me, my assessment of your situation and your response to the remedy I prescribe. Because no two patients are the same and you are receiving individual treatment, I like to see patients 4-6 weeks after their initial consultation. This second meeting is important for both of us. It enables you to let me know how things have been since your first consultation and for me to assess your response and progress. Ideally, I advise two follow up appointments as a minimum. This is because homeopathy deals with the cause of your illness and does not just relieve the symptoms it is therefore working at quite a deep level and this can take time.
